That is one awesome photo.

TFF, where were those photos taken? The one with the open door looks like it is in San Francisco.

The cat pic is brilliant pin sharp, perfect dof for the image and just that hint of movement in the water...nice one

Yea, SF. We were there a couple of weeks ago visiting friends/family. The picture is actually taken in the rec yard at Alcatraz looking out of the door that led to some of the gardens.

Thanks for the compliments.

I shoot quite a lot myself mostly motorcycling but have been known to turn my hand to landscapes, portraits, macro stuff etc. I use Canon DSLRs with L series lenses, you cannot beat the quality. Don't have much to hand..night shift but here's a couple

Shot this with other at Griussan-Ayguades in Southern France last year. hand held 300mm lens on macro setting.

It's a fantastic view up top the Tourmalet, but you don't have much time when descending at 60-70km/h.

anyone out there have experience with this? Looks really good, and not expensive. Feedback if possible?

Noe experience with the software, but the ad on the site sure doesn't do it for me. "We're the hot fudge"?? You mean something sickly sweet and artificial tasting that you can completely ruin a nice ice cream with?;)

Nice IR work BTW, haven't tried any with digital, but I think I still have a roll of HIE sitting at the back of the fridge that I hold on to for nostalgia alone...haven't even had a darkroom going since moving house 8 years ago, so it is well and truly expired!

Are you using a converted camera for IR, or a filter?

I accidently learned that my very first digital camera, a 1998 (99?) Olympus z2020 was very bad at blocking near infrared light. Since it has a fast 2.0 lense and goes up to ISO 400 you can just put an IR pass filter on the front and still take hand held shots using the view finder. I am amazed that auto focus and auto exposure still work. It is only 2.1 megapixels (a lot when new) and has a bunch of dead pixels, but it is still fun to use. Using a 720 nm pass filter the Oly can't see visible light and it adds false colors. Living foliage diffuses IR light and dead parts ( branches and trunks etc) reflect none. I look for composition, form, contrast and texture. Since I'm not a photographer I just shoot a lot and hope something comes out. Minimal post processing.

I thought bike people were all immune to fluff and marketing hype? i hadn't even seen that hot fudge pitch. Think I'll try the demo. It can be purchased for less$$. I don't know about analog IR, but digital very liberated.
