im in Hong Kong at the moment so cant see SBS, i have to go down to the pub to watch Eurosport.....both a blessing and a curse :)

I will say that i cant wait for the day the Keenan is lead commentator with a sidekick, not McKenzie though. Keenan is a guru, runs rings around the P&P Muppet show...i saw stage 1 and 2 on SBS and predictably, P&P are more inane and befuddled than ever. The Eurosport commentary for ToC with Harmon/Kelly was better than P&P by a mile, and thats saying something.

A massive +1 for bringing Tomolaris home and confiscating his passport. He is a serial dunce who has been sent to France for many years now and yet has learned nothing of the sport.....here's a laugh...he is Randwick-Botany CC's "patron" :D

That may well be on the SBS christmas tape, priceless.

BTW its good to see other people think highly of Keenan. Hes like a mate who knows what hes talking about, easy to listen to, informative, shuts up when its time to.

when keenan speaks you that what he says will be insightful and I am especially sick of P&P they are hopeless! especially on stage 3 when cancellera was in virtual yellow and they were talking about thomas taking the overall lead

The incredible part about Matt is what the majority of people never see. I've watched him provide commentary on a D grade race in Melbourne earlier this year with no more notice than 'here's the mic, do it' and he did almost as informatively on those riders as he is on top level professionals. Obviously he's from around there and knows many in the scene, but even so, very impressive.

Cheers

Yep. He's a talent!

The coverage including the commentary gets better every year. Keenan is a stand out and Mcewen would be great as a sidekick. Need someone with a sense of humour. Content is better than delivery in my opinion. SBS commentators appear to have one or the other at the moment.

SBS are a bunch of amateurs who do great with the budget they have.

The website is excellent in my opinion.

My biggest criticism of Toma is that when he interviews, he pays little attention to the answer. He's either checking out the TV to see the cross over to the podium, or reading his next question. Major, major no no for any interviewer. Pay attention to the answer.

Dave would be better off providing important background information. He does not belong in front of the camera in my opinion.

Read the blog, it is hilarious with people who are so naive.

I have. Most of them don't know the sport and only follow it when the Tour de France is on instead of following it all year round. They think they're experts when they only watch one race?
