indeed. Today's U23 race gave us a preview of what needs to happen in order to win it. I still believe is going to be a sprinter with climbing abilities to take it , the likes of Gerro, Valpiti, Sagan, Kristoff, Kwait,Cance- even Bouhanni & Degankolb can make it under the right circumstances

Valverde, Gilbert, Kwiat will all just wait for that last climb and try to get 10-15 seconds over the top. I think it will be Italy that could make or break this race, as can't see any real puncheur for them - unless Nibali feels in really good shape.

That was two weeks ago. He seemed fine to me though. Not in top shape, but not far off. Also his training buddy Bystrøm seemed to be in good shape today.

But it all depends on the race. We could see a Valverde/Purito fight. If not during, at least after.
