Gotta love Poland's attitude: why wait for their 9 riders to be dropped? Just go and have them making the race really hard. Good man!

Yes, some of their riders might not be there near the end so they might as well use them to set a pace that they want to make the race a bit harder.

Taaramae slightly behind at the latest time check, perhaps he had a problem.

Betancur and Sagan right at the back of the peloton

Same as Gilbert. Though I think I saw Sagan near his car a while back. Peter Velits is with him now.

Gerrans would be the least tedious winner possible. Nothing could make the fans angrier, that's not tedious :)

Would it be worse than when Leipi Leipheimer won the TdS in 2011?

Cancellara already thinks he is the peloton's pappa pimp. Imagine his ego if he wins the RR.

The only halfway exciting thing so far is Rochelle Gilmore :p

Preferred her and Rob Hayles commentary on the womens road race yesterday. Phil Liggett sends me to sleep in a good race let alone this snoozefest.

Just heard about the crash on Norwegian TV. They were sharing car with Croatia. If I understood it correctly, they have all been sent to hospital, though my impression is that it was not serious.

They now are in a shimano car they are borrowing. But I don't know if any of the original team cars occupants are in it. Don't know about the status on the bikes on the roof or what happened to cause the crash.

Edit: Apparently at-least Katusha is on the way with a new reserve bike. Nothing said about the others. Though I would assume Sky and Belkin also have bikes to provide.

Peloton is still too big. The poles aren't even doing a proper chase, just controlling the break. My goodness.

You're wrong though. Pieter Weening just went to the team car and reported the racing was hard due to the pace the Poles are setting. He said it was really tough at the moment.

Yeah, although it can't be that tough, since virtually everyone can keep up. But when the race eventually starts, say 20 km from the finish line, maybe we'll see some more carnage than you'd expect.

Ok then. That means the break is doing quite well. Though almost everyone in the pack seems to be doing well.

So? It's like the Amstel Gold Race, 150 men are there with 20km to go, but 90% is dead probably
