Well he is a Sir in this country and has been honoured such by our Queen, if your not from Britain then you don't have to call him that, it's not a problem really.

I suppose. Still, it's archaic and handing it out to random sports people means it loses all value regardless.

I don't know, at least LaFlo is upfront and honest about her likes and dislikes - it's all just a pantomime anyway!

Congratulations to Sir Brad - and thumbs up for whoever came up with the picture of Michelle throwing a telly out of the window, funny stuff!

I know it is probably pantomime but saying that you "hate all British riders" is not in keeping with the spirit of this forum.

It is nothing to do with your likes and dislikes whatsoever.

It is thoughtless at the extreme and it is not just an insult to all British riders but I find it personally offensive being British myself.

If Flo is half the person I thought she was she will offer an apology.

Geraint Thomas?

He is okay. Kennaugh too. Don't mind Froome as much as I used to.

But Wiggins is just an *******.

And the whole Sky- British Cycling-Clean cycling annoys me to no end

I agree I don't think many should be knighted for a sorting achievement unless it's exceptional. There are many that deserve it more like our soldiers who put themselves on the line to save thousands of innocent lives, but that's another debate.

I see your point but respectfully I'm going to have to disagree - especially with the bit about the spirit of this forum.

Perhaps if you were half the person you think La Flo is then you'd smile indulgently at her (frankly hilarious) fit of pique and move on!

Geraint Thomas?
I loved when he won a stage with a climb in it in the mighty Tour Down Under and he was immediately hyped to win Liege. That's usually the sort of priceless stuff that reflects wrong on non brittish fans (like myself) and help build a negative image of arrogance towards British/Sky riders. That's why I personally find it hard to care for riders like Thomas or Wiggins.

Why should I apologize because you are so easily offended.

I never said I hate all Brits. I just hate all (well most) British riders.

Perhaps "severely dislike" would be a better way to express my feelings.

I am quite sure I am not even half the person you thought I was.

But if you insist: please accept my sincere apology

Hype is, for the most part, out of their control. It happens a lot on this forum e.g.

Is [insert name] the new Eddy Merckx?
How many monuments will [insert name] win?

and I don't think that is specific to British riders. Of course some of it is tongue in cheek...

I think Thomas is a pretty likeable guy so to someone to suggest they hate him seems somewhat surprising.

The fact that Brailsford spoke of dominating the sport is the reason I root for him to fail. The Sky riders for the most part don't bother me, it's just Brailsford and his attitude just rubs me the wrong way.
