Arnout said:Btw people from Britain can you please please please stop with handing out that sir title? It's pathetic.
Arnout said:I suppose. Still, it's archaic and handing it out to random sports people means it loses all value regardless.

Perhaps the most divers champion of his time. What a man, what a great rider!
Angliru said:The fact that Brailsford spoke of dominating the sport is the reason I root for him to fail. The Sky riders for the most part don't bother me, it's just Brailsford and his attitude just rubs me the wrong way.

Beech Mtn said:I don't feel too badly for Tony. While I was glad to see him finally break Fabian's streak, I am also ready for Tony to have a little more competition too. I don't like it when one guy dominates for too long. And Wiggo isn't likely to have a string of wins due to his age (and turning back towards the track, etc.)
So for me, this was a nice change, and next year we'll be back to Tony again, or Dumoulin, or whoever. Or maybe Taylor Phinney will develop just a bit more.
Don't see that happening. Plus the Worlds is in the USA next year. . . .

Wiggins winning is not a huge suprise ofcourse but still a little upset.
Dumoulin much closer to Martin than I anticipated but also Kiryenka and Dennis very good. Happy that Dumoulin got his podium place though!
Zinoviev Letter said:All aristocratic or sub-aristocratic titles are revolting, but ones handed out to people for riding a bike are less revolting than ones that are inherited or handed out for being a plutocrat or slaughtering natives.
Beech Mtn said:This seems like a good possibility - especially when you consider the TTT results also. Wonder if he's been a bit sick, or just over-raced this year, or what.
