Is it just me or does it seem like on this course, the climbs aren't recognizable, because really, they are not much of a climb?

Mirador is pretty recognizable IMO. But the levee is probably the most distinct thing on the route

The top down and zoom-in-from-front camera angles really don't help.

The first one is too flat, the second too short
