Boom couldn't care less about this race.

True, Fuglsang was designated leader here, Boom is probably aiming at the Eneco Tour, which is WT and in the Netherlands. Still, if he manages to limit his losses, he still has a chance for the overall in the ITT.

Maybe we got a bit carried away reg. Booms form. Obviously a reserve rider wasn't planned to compete for the overall, but due to his Tour De France base form managed to win stage one.

Konrad again proves he's a big talent.

EDIT: Brainfart reg. the MTN rider

Well he seemed super happy when he won a stage.
After the stage he said that he still didn't knew if he would go all out for the overall win, though.

Ciolek :)

I agree. Even when interviewed he sounded like he didn't really care.

While this race isnt a super big one, its stupid to think that he doesnt try or care. Obviously he would have been in the front group if he was capable of it, but he wasnt. He pretty obvious he fights to stay somewhat in contact also after he got dropped.

What a great race. Kamp was so strong, too bad he didn't make it. Starting to fullfil (some of) his potential.

Breschel the strongest tho, and knew how to ride the finish perfectly. The overall should come down to a battle between Bak and Juul and I hope Bak will take it.

Ciolek should win this easily. But apparently he doesn't know the finish as well as Matti :D

Yeah after four laps he didn't know it.

If he had known the finale Ciolek would have won the race for sure and Nordhuag and Boom would have been second and third if they had only cared about the race.
And if you could spell the names correctly you would be a lot better at trolling.

It's just so lame. I don't like chauvinism either but views like 'Norhduag is the greatest favorite', 'Ciolek will win for sure' , ' 'Boom don't care about this race, that's why he lost contact' are just so tiresome.

I mean, respect to guys like Nodrhaug and Ciolek but no way they could ever compare to an in-form Breschel.
It's not even like Ciolek had a chance if Breschel had not been there. You can argue about a weak field or more motivated cyclists but the results here reflect pretty accurately who the best riders in the race are.

Completely agree with you. Shouldnt be any doubt that if Boom had the legs, he would be up there. Winning Post DK is a decently big achievement. You clearly saw him struggling to keep up.

No live coverage for the first of the two stages tomorrow?
