Petacchi takes it at the last last last possible second! He took the lead inside the last five metres. Great racing!

What a fantastic final K. Everyone seemed completely dead, and Petacchi timed his sprint spot on.

Tell you what. Petacchi is looking really good to take another Giro maglia ciclamino.

Edit, make that the Maglia Rosso Passione!

Awesome sprint by Ale-Jet. He's not quite there in terms of pure speed, but he has definitely worked on his uphill power.

Nah, he looks like that, but has already announced that he won't finish Giro and just do first two weeks.
Besides that, it is close to impossible, that a sprinter will win the ciclamino in this years edition, even when he should win 4-5 stages.

Ciclamino will go to one of the GC-riders.

But I am sure that Ale will cause Cav some trouble and is still able to take green jersey.

Why would he even care about that?

I didn't say that he would.

But he is the best rider over 4 stages and has only himself to blame that he is so far down.

So what? I really don't understand the obsession with GC's. Maybe if he wasn't so far down, he wouldn't have won todays stage.

Seriously, only guys that are capable of winning a race should care about the GC. All that "I can probably finish top 10 in the Presidential Tour of Turkey" is killing this smaller races (and the bigger races as well, but I can sort of understand it there).
