I haven't read that. He probably still doesn't know who is who in the peloton, lol.

You haven't read what?

I found Remco's comment on losing 9 seconds rather stupid, he said no one who took 9 seconds on him will still be there on after the loing climb later one this week... otherwise let him test he'll learn a lot

"Komt er nog bij dat Evenepoel in de laatste honderd meters een gaatje moest laten en zo negen seconden. “Ewan liet een gat vallen en ik kreeg het niet meer dicht. Al zaten er bij de eersten geen mannen die er op de lange klim van zaterdag er nog bij zullen zijn.”"

He won't have won himself many Turkish fans by throwing it to the ground like that.

Fascinating to have helicopter shot for full last km.
A few years ago the TdS did something like that, they always showed the overhead shoot of the sprint live.

Good win for "flag" Jakobsen - QS set him up nicely. Bennett second best today, but The Cav on the podium is good news for DD.

Still hard to believe this is a WT race.

There will be WT races with a substantially lesser sprinting cast than Bennett, Jakobsen, Ewan (plus Cavendish) this year. Now when it comes to GC, it’s hard to disagree.

First and foremost, there are only 6 WT teams present and that alone makes this race very un-WT-like.

True.. But even in most fully attended WT races only a few teams have any real chance of winning on any given day. It's not really so different here. Plus as is mentioned above the sprinters field here is probably as good as some we'll see later in the year.... But yeah, might not be around next year without some big changes

Just watching the highlights. Why didn't Jakobson have any numbers on?

I wondered that too. Must be a reason ... any one on Twitter care to ask @FabioJakobsen ?

Well tomorrow's (Friday's) stage 4 takes us from Balıkesir to Bursa 194.3 km

Apart from a little Cat 3 lump after 17.9 km there's not much until the last 3 km's "not so step" ramp up to the finish. If you like a sprint finish then you could well be lucky.

Start 09.50 Turkish time 08.50 CET - early start for a long day. TV from 12.00 CET

There are some rain showers about and a bit chilly - max 10 C. A northerly wind means they'll be going into a headwind for the first 80 km.
