Based on 2012 results (aka "none"), Vino will absolutely not be in contention for the overall.... but still:It's Vino!
Obvious pick is Duarte, but as someone already stated, Turkey seems to find it's way to some surprising results. I still recall the soap-like decent they did two years ago from one of the hills.
Based on the 3D profile (room for improvement there) it's a rise of 850 meters in approx. 12 km giving it an average rise of around 7 %.
Guys to watch out for on stage 3 will be:
Duarte & SuSuarez (and the other Coldeportes guys), Bardet, Baugnies, Zeits, Vinokourov, Meyer, Gusev, Golas, Noval, all the Andalucia guys (mostly Abeja), Moyano, A.Cardoso, Efimkim, Locatelli, Deignan, Jay Thomson, Bosisio & Stevic.
Actually looking at my own list I'd say Duarte should easily take this stage.
This will be a sprint fest, and I'm looking forward to seing what a guy like Boivin can do - he's really improved this season.
Also youngsters like Battaglin, Colbrelli and Locatelli should pop up along the way.
Does anyone know who'll be Katushas sprinter? Tsatevich, Porsev or Haller, or will they just take turns?
