they weren't even doing that bad in the big classics either btw. ofcourse no winner, but top 10 in nearly every classic. Which is about the maximum you can do with this group

That's the problem though, ain't it? Sometimes you just need to sign an experienced foreign rider who's capable of winning these races. The Dutch young talents would only learn from it and it would also take the pressure away. Most of them are still only between 24-27 years old.

That's why they signed Matti Breschel for the classics and Luis Leon for stage races... problem is neither of them has really taken the weight off the young Dutchies' shoulders.

Nice win for Bos, I haven't seen anything but apparently even their train sort of worked. That's not too bad.

they were "lucky" with the crash. many were out of contention after that and made it more regular

Yes it did. Worked well, in fact.

No they weren't. See above.
Pan flat sprints? You? seriously......

A win is a win. People who were at the front of the peloton probably avoided the crash.
Yes, they did, because of a good train.

There was a pinch point, going slightly to the rider's left.
Rabo and GreenEdge stringing out the front.

You think the train worked well? I just saw the last 1-1.5k and to me it seemed their last man came up way too fast, meaning at 500m he had to let up. Bos then had to rely on the green edge launch for Goss to take him to the finish, and, in a last ditch attempt, he managed to (just?) pip him at the line. He changed trains, otherwise he would have had his face in the wind.

I am not saying it was bad, but the timing seemed to be off, which almost cost him the win. Perhaps I have been too spoiled with the cavendish trains though :p

Trains that take their sprinter all the way to the line hardly exist anymore. Team Cav don't have it dialed in yet either. At least Bos was in the position to follow the Greenedge guys.

yeah and you call that great? you sound like a belgian trying to talk right what is wrong.
Since you pronounced Breschel's career to be over already, I say top-10 in Flanders is pretty good for a retiree. But maybe you expected something more?

No idea why 'not that bad' translates to 'great' in your book

lol. what substance is in your eyes? even with the crash they mistimed their train and bos was lucky to sit in front when greenedge went

breschel proves my point. the guy because of his injurys lacks the real power he had. it's like with fothen and weneing happened. their glory days are gone.

I didn't expect anyone better. that';s not teh point. I knew they were going to suck. however rabo expected more and should expect more with a 12.5 million euro budget. they will suck in the tour too and I think everyone can see that coming too
