Gabrovski has been suspended due to crit levels above 50% twice, once in 2003 and once in 2005. But I guess that was caused by altitude training :p
Story about 2005 positive is wrong afaik - he had the flu and was in hospital when the testers came at the team hotel - wasn't tested.

I also love how CN emphasizes the fact that since he's at Conti level, he's not under Biological Passport program

The whole article has undertones. Not very professional IMO.

We at cyclingnews are fully objective! These accusations are but mere insults to our accurate and 100% objective reports.

...but ProTeams and Pro Continental teams might as well combine forces to dethrone the leader of a Continental team not submitted to the biological passport.
Lol, it's like the writer panicked because he had almost made it to the end of the article without dropping those mandatory doping hints, so in the end it came out totally out of the blue.

The real irony being that for bringing up their article on the winner of a race in a racing thread, it should merit a mandatory: Shut up or take it to the cesspit, formally known as the clinic," modthreat.

However, when an obscure rider rides so far away from a group of potentially better riders, so early, eyebrows obviously get raised.

With the green kit, he reminded me of Emanuele Sella at the 2008 Giro.

Not when that obscure rider is British, though. Then the opposite applies. CN readers then have to be reminded time and again of why such exploits aren't "suspect" at all.

This kind of hypocritical thinking against eastern-europeans (or any non English speaking riders for that matter) is the norm these days.

Sad but true.

The journalist is French, so if this is Anglo bias, it is enforced from above by CN. Which would explain the clumsy way the biological passport was brought into the article.

Yes.
I don't like the uneven handed approach, either.
When looking at "unbelievable" (© Sean K) performances, nationality isn't, or rather shouldn't, be a factor.

It´s great for cycling that a man like Grabovsky wins such a stage.

Doesn´t mean he´s clean, but he probably prepares his races like Cyclingnews´ darlings Cavendish, Wiggins or Millar.

I don´t think the Eastern riders dope more or less than the rest of the world. Janek Tombak, for example... Estonian, and clean.

In all fairness to cyclingnews, a clinic issue must be put into their report in such an obvious case, otherwise it would be false reporting, at the end of the day the guy has failed to heamocrit tests before and its simply a fact to put 2 and 2 together.

If Garbovski leads to attacking racing I wont be complaining but I would definitely like him to lose his lead

That's not the point. If this were some United Healthcare guy winning out of the blue we'd read that he'd won the Tour of the Battenkill or whatever, and that this is only a logical progression.

It's just a fact that Cyclingnews has a strong Anglo bias, which in the case of Americans is simply laughable, as there's a hardly a cycling nation with a history so rife with doping cases (proportionally) as the USA.

Eurosport live early.
Garbovski goes on with that chase, solo, to catch the 11 man break, according to Carlton Kirby.

To rephrase mellow's earlier post:

Quit the doping talk and/or the off topic posting. Either create a new thread/dig up an old one on CN biased reporting, or go to the clinic and discuss why yesterday's top 10 should/could/will all be on the juice.

Race please. :)

he hasn't failed two hematocrite tests and besides those tests have nothing to do with doping but with health of a rider.
