He is total nutcase and very stubborn. Got into a fight with his team leader in the third stage in Tour of Bulgaria 1998, the following stage had the yellow jersey but left the tour after a mass crash he subsequently blamed on his teammates. Kicked off the TDF team in 2001 after falling out with his team leader. Last year in ToB attacked his teammate who had the yellow jersey in the last stage and won the overall. Every team he's been in there were problems - not following team orders etc. Still when out of the sport he could drop every other pro here.

in belgium the guy told me he killed every race he rode. like a cannibal and when done he would go back to bulgaria to win everything there. when teams wanted him back in belgium and paid him good money he didn't care. he only did what he pleased. thanks for your info too

I checked his palmares on CQranking and didn't see any win on Belgian soil. If you know a better database, please feel free to share.

this is the only good database I ever found, although not even that one is complete and it's ironic as I posted a number of his belgian results here and you said it was pathetic to post them as they meant nothing. so how could you forget?

Race is on. Two breaks are out Belkov, Golas and Deignan have left a 17 man group and have 1 minute on them. JJ Haedo is in the second group.
Adam Hansen just crashed, looks like he has to abandon.

Poor guy - could be a broken collar bone - Greipel wheeled back for him
but it was too tough to go on.

You know, stuff like this makes me respect Greipel more and more.

Astana start a little attack, give up before really achieve anything, and then watch 5 guys go down the road and are now forced to work with the torku guys to pull them back...
