Pro Cyclists on Twitter

Apologies if there are previous threads on this but does anyone have a list of pro-cyclists who are on twitter.

I saw on one of the news stories that the Schlecks were tweeting about Andy's crash and Lance Armstrong seems to spend more time on it than on his bike!

I think during Le Tour it could be interesting to follow all the riders to see how they're feeling.

Twitter is awesome.

In the old days, to have fun with athletes, you had to stick a microphone in their face. Preferably away from their managers and handlers.

Twitter makes this microphone permanent.

Twitter Sux!!

Twitter Sucks.

It is killing real communication and language with indirect human contact, incomplete sentences, non-sense, and rambling.

Lance's announcement by twitter is totally lame.

Nonsense. Through Twitter there's a sort of contact there wouldn't normally be. It doesn't replace anything, it's an added means of communication. Regardless of what Tweetstrong uses it for.

You could make the same claim about the internet in general, of course:)

If you can get to the end of this video http://bit.ly/afpRn5 (its a bit shambolic editing wise) then Wiggins says he has stopped doing it because the PRs didnt like what he was saying and he didnt see the point in putting out their bland corporate messages - and there is more than a hint of not ****ing off other riders in the peloton about it too.

Here's an example of that:

Hey Cav, your a star, remember what we said, **** Bob, life goes on, dont let sponser politics affect freindships.

As saved here for posterity:

There were a few others during the winter that... well, if I had to speculate, I might guess there had been a bit of alcohol involved, but it's hard to say without knowing that guy's personality.

In any case, it's about dXXm time for the racing to start. Legs are better for talking than twitter any day:)

Allright, I myself hate twitter, but this one pic of Basso's family he just posted really justifies the use of twitter, so sweet

Twitter, it rhymes with...

I realize this thread is a good 9 months old (which is an eternity in InterTweet time) but with nearly 20 Twit-related ones to choose from, this seemed more appropriate than most.

Guess who got a new endorsement?!

Done with last stage at tirreno...now doing jumps in my New Balance shoes...http://twitter.com/#!/dzabriskie/status/47332625861451776

Jeezus guys, didn't any PR people coach you in subtlety?

Such depth of personal insight. This is exactly the behind-the-scenes kind of info I was hoping for when so many cyclists migrated to the must-have app of the century!

Like the interwebs aren't already polluted enough with commercialism? MAKE IT STOP!

Now I have three more reasons not to use Twitter. :)

I do not really care for twitter, there's a lot of nonsense being "twitted". If there's an announcement or rumour on twitter, I will probably read it here within a few minutes anyway. I only use twitter for one specific network.
