Pro gear? No, but I just picked up some new to me (read second hand) Sunday best wheels for my fixed wheel bike and there's nowhere else I can post them so here they are:

28H H Plus Son rims on Brick Lane Bikes King hubs (female axle, very nice, spin for days) built with DB DT Swiss spokes and pro lock nipples.

First time I've ever weighed bike components and they are 500g lighter than my old wheels, 160g at the front and 340g at the back. unbelievable what a difference it makes, made the bike feel so much easier to spin up to speed.

Only problem is it's got me thinking where else I could save weight on this bike... Damn you Ray J!!! :D

Anything H Plus Sons is awesomeness! You have a nice set of hoops buddy. Thinking of having those rims laced onto some White Industry T11 hubs with CX-Ray spokes

Cheers fella. I took them out on a proper test yesterday. 74" gear, 103km, 1770m climbing, average temp 2 degree Celsius, 64kph winds and a road that was a river at one point (feet were literally getting submerged). Never missed a beat, very impressed! Will have to much them out before the next run but they span up really easily, the ride was very comfortable and they felt nice a stiff out of the saddle. When the rims on my commuting/off-road wheels need replacing it'll be with some Archetypes.

This was the FULL Campagnolo toolbox in the 1970s & 80s for pro-mechanics. I had the pleasure to learn to use the tools in my first job in a bike shop (Richmond Cycles at Richmond London UK). The Campagnolo (bible) Catalogue No.17 was the accompanying "software".

I've always enjoyed my Cannondales (I've had 4 - one team, 3 personal). Reasonable value, excellent all round race bikes. No gimmicks.

The only reason my main race bike isn't a Cannondale any more is because a friend has started his own brand.
What's the brand? I'm from Oz and love the boutique/different stuff around
Johnson Cycles. The owner is an ex pro from Noosa. Here's the website http://www.johnsonbikes.com
Sweet thank for that! Some great looking stuff there and the prices aren't to bad, do you know where they source the frames from? The Esquire? Looks a lot like one of those Hongfu FM066 frames, mind you those frames aren't exactly original in design
Oh and you're bike is gorgeous matey
Bump. Henk Vogel's new rig:

And their new aero road frame:

Sorry for the lighting

No, the owners of the shop are the parents of the guy who owns the bike brand. He rode for Drapac in 2014 when Henk was still a DS.

Lets get some new stuff up . Ryders insane new Trek. Personally I was surprised he opted for the aero.
He usually opts for the full out climbing bikes. Was it his choice to ride the Aero ? I thought he would be on a super light Emonda still very much fits in with Ryders unique style.

This is probably only for the TDU. He'll most likely switch to a climbers bike for the Grand Tours.

I'm just wondering if Trek have something new in the pipeline and will release it at the Giro or tour?
Cervelo set the standard for the super light Frames with the RCA . We now have quite a few sub 700grm frames in the peloton. How long before a sub 600grm frame?
The trouble with super light frames is the UCI limit. Its about time it was dropped IMO. Whats the point riding a sub 800 grm frame when you have to load it with weights to make the UCI limit. I know it will feel nice to ride etc but you are not really getting the weight advantage.
