Probably too far back  Seems to work for him though.

If you ever get the chance to see Hepburn's cleats, they're the opposite - a very long way forward.

He also uses very long cranks and very narrow bars too I think?

I'm like Hepburn then, my cleats are slammed as far forward as possible and in the past I've thought about making adaptors to move them further forward.

Hansen uses 180mm cranks I think and 380mm bars. A few other riders have jumped on the narrow bar trend.

The new Shimano shoes allow you to get a bit further forward than pretty much any other brand. My physio recommended them to me and they've been great.

I've been looking at some new bars for my fixed wheel so was considering it, seems to be the trend at the moment but just not sure. Long cranks is strange, shorter cranks (but not ridiculously short) are meant to be better, although I don't notice the difference on my bikes. To be fair, I ain't going to question Hansen though, pretty sure he knows what works for him.

Here's a very special ride for Graeme Brown, Never heard of him

Unless team bikes are normally all gold only two road riders should have special edition 'gold medal' bikes. The men's and women's Olympic road race gold medalists.

So this was brought on by the pic of the terrible Giant-Alpecin crash today. Obviously, my thoughts are with the riders. I wish them all a full speedy recovery. But since everyone seems to be evolving well and this is a just a bit of idle curiosity: Were Giant-Alpecin riding Ultegra on their training ride? Seems a little odd for a such a prominently Shimano-backed team. Or is it DA, and I'm just seeing things?

Can't see any Ultegra gear in that pic, all looks like Dura Ace Di2 with C24 wheels, the bike on the right does like it was fitted with clinchers instead of tubs

And I'm not even much of a Star Trek fan!

And like StarTrek, science fiction that this proprietary 'thing' makes any difference other than making it hard to change your stem..like proprietary frames, no holes for electronic or even mechanical, yippee. Cheaper for frame builders.

Nice eye. Though the chainrings looked a little Ultegra-ish from that angle. Guess a lot of it is getting binned anyway :(
