And yet from the same article.

"And yet" = BUT. In other words, what you posted second somehow contradicts what I was posting. But in fact appears to support it, and what JV said: Garmin did nothing with Wiggins. It was Ellingworth all the way.

So how the heck can Wiggins turn around and say - I didn't know Ellingworth, and we had no rapport.

Makes no sense to me at all.

I'm surprised you're still looking for any kind of logic or consistency in what Wiggins says, he talks b*llocks on a daily basis as far as I can fathom.

The same is true of most sports people when interviewed.
Wiggo takes it to a whole 'nother level.

I can understand and accept to a certain extent :

* puffery
* exaggeration

but to say you didn't know Ellingworth, and go on about it, fleshing out the lack of connection, after Ellingworth coached you to a great 2009 including 4th at the Tour?

That's not b0ll0cks, that's an outright lie.

Wonder do Rapha do boxes of tissues for fans, very thin but powerful and take a lot of blubbing.

Sorry but what does that mean exactly? If you are going to insult a country be upfront about rather than hiding behind sarcasm.

appealing
[uh-pee-ling]
adjective
evoking or attracting interest, desire, curiosity, sympathy, or the like; attractive.

I believe Hog is trying to say that he has a desire to own that scarf. Nothing wrong with that surely? Although Im not sure why oldcrank posted that in this thread.

Correct. It's spiffy! But sadly I'd destroy it's fibers with sweat & snot :mad: I really do love their products but in most cases not so practical.

Considering I'm a British citizen I have no idea how Jimmy took it as derision. Funny how people have preconceived biases.

Maybe because my father and grandfather were tailors and 'gentleman's outfitters' and the English have a long tradition of fine, bespoke tailoring. Look up Saville Row. And he said English not British, there's a distinction.

But this has got silly. I imagine posts will be deleted and bans may follow.

Good job the Brits aren't like the Turks who have Article 301. Otherwise the Hog would end up in jail!

They do. As do the Italians. Savile Row is passé now. Chav central.

Carnaby St has much more interesting offerings. The new market in Shorditch, in and around had some flashboy selections.

Who knew? Jimmy and I are alike :)

Is Savile Row where Wiggans sells his clothing line?

He has one? I don't know. Liam Gallagher (Pretty Green) set up his own clothing line. I saw this jacket that I loved went down to carnaby to check it out. 600 squids for a friggin' coat!

Wiggins wouldn't sell on Savile Row. It's all old man suits, pinstriped jobbys and lack the italian 'cut'. Would never slick over a cyclists body! :cool:

Thought he was knocking out a line for one of those British mod clothing lines.
