If Wiggins goes down, I bet he's gonna toss Froome under the bus double quick. No way he sits around next summer watching Dawg in yellow all over the media. Won't matter who else goes down too. Might even be a bonus if this takes out Cookson as part of a package deal?

Wonder how much Sky paid/promised Froome to get him to back off and let Wiggins win that Olympic year TdF?

I bet Wiggins is touting for money to keep his mouth shut.

If he does throw people under the bus, it will be everyone bar 1or 2. But Froome is #1 under the bus if the house of cards falls.

I guess Ms Cound negotiated a decent salary for Froome that july.

Well It's never too early to start a reconciliation tour.
He could probably use some advice right now from the likes of Floyd and Kimmage, both of whom I reckon will tell him to piss the **** off.

Why would he? He's made millions - he'll retire and live a quiet live, which is what he wants.

Yes Spud, the 6 biographers that he wrote demonstrates he wants a quiet life

I like how you pretend you know the inner workings of an athletes mind, lol!

Floyd's response to the situation was, "F*** him. I hope he kills himself. He can burn in hell."

Word is that the bag contained testosterone.

Testo. That would make the cover up a bit easier to understand.

I like Floyd's Fem response.

Floyd is still really pissed at some things Wiggins said about him.

I don't know how reliable the testosterone story is. Another rumor is that it was not testosterone per se but a testosterone precursor that is illegal in France; Brailsford did not want to come clean because it would make the team look like drug traffickers and he thought the whole thing would blow over but instead it festered.

Would Sky risk going through customs with an illegal drug?

I know, why? It's like no one ever took an prescription drugs through an airport before, like never!!

Illegal is probably a bad term. It connotes carrying heroin through customs. Not classified for sale or prescription is more apt. Evidently still against the WADA code but I have not looked it up myself.

So if anyone asked, Cope was expected to be a "fall guy" and claim "personal use"?
Cope said himself,
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/cope-i-dont-know-what-was-in-the-package-for-team-sky/
"There's no way that British Cycling are going to put something dodgy or illegal for them to take through customs. It's just not going to happen. It's just madness. You have to go through two sets of customs. Why are you going to take the risk?"
Mind you, it was Sky not BC ...

Stop babbling about the contents of that jiffy bag unless you name the source of the rumor. Useless discussions can be avoided, thread clutter is reduced. It could be still Speedplays after all or ACC600 or any PED or a letter from his wife after all...

Hint: "twitter" is not a source.

I don't think it's a question of "if" he goes down, but WHEN.

His bogus "retirement" is nothing more than a tactic to try to remove any spotlight off him & onto someone else.

Fluamicil and having Fluamicil is not illegal, it's just unlicenced. Unlicenced in UK often just means the manufacturer doesn't have any information in English so they can't licence it. It's widely prescribed in UK by the NHS to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for example.

How exactly will he be taken down ? Seriously how. If he has TUE's and there aren't any skeletons in the closet with positives then there isn't much if people stick to script. This isn't a Marion Jones case with the Feds asking the questions and criminal charges at play so doubt anything will come of it. Unfortunate but at the minute its a play trial by press- they won't hang him and they'll forget quickly- Just look at Radcliffe and Farah- they got a bit of hassle in the press but you don't keep knocking Brit icons if you know what's good for you- Murdoch won't let it happen.

Bob Howden, the man interviewed by the MPs 2 weeks ago now today paying a glowing public tribute to Bradley Wiggins. Yet he apparently can't provide simple paperwork supporting the contents of the package requested by MPs 2 weeks ago. It's like the lunatics running the asylum. I'd have little faith in UKAD to police the sport properly either.

Incidentally where have Boardman, Millar, Hayles et al been since the revelations on Wiggins TUEs and the package story broke. Very few journalists other than Lawton appear to be asking questions. Walsh has begun doing an odd puff piece isolating Brailsford/Wiggins but for a man who has boasted a lot of contacts within the team, he appears to be getting very little copy off any of them. They have played him for a fool, as a shield against the nay Sayers.

Anti-Doping authorities seem to run to their 'own rule of law' - Have a case in Australia where the politicians are unable to compel ASADA to produce documents relating to an infamous case in 2016 - Yet Anti-Doping authorities are funded by the Government.

You can never expect scum like wiggins to do the right thing. In the movies a bad guy, put into a certain situation by certain circumstances, can become a good guy or at least help a little bit, but in real life, rotten people like Wiggins stay rotten, even if they get caught.

Look at how coward Lance defends modern cycling as clean and even apologizes to Froome and Sky for making their Tours more difficult. Sky waste no opportunity to pile on Lance and use him as a scapegoat. But Lance, knowing full well its a sham, just eats his *** and smiles and says "thank you can i have another"

I'm not expecting Wigans to do this because it's the right thing. I'm expecting it more because he appears to have a burning hate for Froome, and to be self-centered enough not to really care that much who else gets caught in the crossfire.

They will have learned from Lance not to let Wigans be stripped of all his status and "titles." They have to keep him with something of his own to lose, in order to keep him in line. IMO.

Just to think, the new new generation of clean cycling can talk about the dirty Bradly Wiggins era of doping

I wonder if Wiggins really retired and is not pulling a Cipollini to get taken out of the OOC testing than announce he is racing again. How many times has Wiggins called it a day now, 3?
