Sounds exactly like last yesr unfortunately.

I hope it is the case, because that means he would fight for victory in LBL.

And hopefully not the same outcome;)

How does Purito look for the Giro? Does not look too good to me if he still has not recovered from AGR injuries?

I think it's better to focus on the Tour. It could be that he recovers in time for the Giro (almost two weaks 'recovery time'), but it is uncertain.

If you look back, you have to say it was better not to start in FW and LBL at all, and just focusing on recovering for the Giro. But that's a difficult decision to make of course.

I think he should race the Giro and if he's not at his best go for as many stages as possible and attack from afar, and then focus 100% on the Vuelta to try and win a GT. If he does the Tour he will at best podium like last year, and he won't have a chance to win the Vuelta then.

Good point, was something i also had in mind. Purito's goal was to finish on the podium in the Tour. He did it, and he knows it is the max he can do there.

Perhaps it is good just to ride the Giro without the GC stress, but to win some stages indeed. In the Vuelta, he's got a chance against Quintana, because the climbs suits him, and the TT will not be decisive.

Wow, so that means Cadel Evans and Quintana might just got a lucky break? I need to calm down :D

On the Live Coverage:

"Accidents are never ideal, and the ones in Belgium weren't an exception," Rodriguez said on Thursday. "But I have managed to recover completely since then, and I think actually having had to rest a little more than expected could benefit me in this race."

Cheers for him.

One year closer to retirement! :) :p

So how long will he continue after this year? Two or three more?

He will continue as long as he enjoys it and he's competitive.

So you can enjoy your favourite rider still for many years!:D
