I'm not into all this "what if"-speculation, but he did an awesome ride yesterday for sure!
Anyone knows what's up with him? He hasn't raced since the Tour of Flanders.
I thought he was scheduled for the Baloise Belgium Tour but he didn't start after all. PCS also has no known upcoming participations planned.

How I feel about you haha
To be fair, it was the biggest gravel race in the world and he was seen as a favorite. But something seems off with him right now. This has been hashed out before but he seems to be an example of someone physically ready for the big time but not yet mentally prepared.

Nice first career win. Hopefully a sign of more to come after rough season last year and up and down start to this year.
Interesting choice as there are plenty of other races more suited to him around that time of year

He could have a good shot at the worlds, Vuelta seems like a waste of energy even if he has a good chance at winning a stage with this form.
Depends how deep he goes. Olympics this year showed the value of coming from a Grand Tour as prep for a hard one day race and traditionally many Worlds winners did the Vuelta beforehand.

Saw him on a couple of training rides in Spain Calpe area few days ago. Like one can see his rides in Strava, I think he's heading towards good level and his engine seems to develop well. Not too heavy frame even though not lightweight. Very interesting athlete growing here. Just take a look at his small group ride today after weeks of heavy training. Btw his younger brother in a group, and his team 2022/2023 is.....
Good result today after last year's difficulty in Strade Bianche. Hopefully more to come.
He's strong, but this isn't exactly a perfect race for him so that makes his result even better. He's still really young so there should be more to come.
