Gran' daddy van der Haar (31! ;)) is looking better than ever. His ride at Maasmechelen was almost the best I've seen him ride. Solid transitions, jumping barriers, quick running and almost no mistakes. Thought we had seen the best of him but he still has more to give!

In that same race couldn't help to notice that the Trek Baloise riders came in seriously hot on Iserbyt. He was constantly swarmed and must've had a rough time staying focused. He should have credit for not loosing his temper and that he continued grinding and secured a second place behind LvdH.
Complete turn around from two years ago when Pauwels had three riders racing tactically at the front and crowding Lars.

All the races for the Euro championships have been moved to Sunday. Except for today's mixed relay. This was to be expected, the forecast for tomorrow is another storm. It's not quite clear how they will organize this, but if I had to guess they'll probably combine the women's elite and u23 race, and maybe for the men as well.

Withen not racing after all?
He's not on the startlist according to PCS, and FirstCycling doesn't have a startlist up (yet).

Healthy looking Junior entry.........I'm guessing CX is the least important discipline for Philipsen, and/or has only just started his season.

Also Pan-American Championships - which is basically a US/Canadian championship, as nowhere else has hosted it.
It’s going to be nicely muddy in Missoula for those races today and tomorrow. Honsinger and I. Holmgren (and other US & Canadian national team riders) are on the startlist but unfortunately Rochette is not.

Two wins for the French so far, lots of promising juniors coming through - but we know what usually happens; they disappear.......

Gery drew first blood in the battle with Ferguson among the juniors.

Schreiber has now started to lose a lot of time to Bäckstedt, which was of course expected.
The fight for bronze is still on between Zemanová and Bentveld.
