Abandony crashed again ..... in the neutral zone. Showing off his great bike handling skills once again  It was probably too foggy to ride, much too dangerous, what are the organizers thinking?! Or he was just too lazy and tried to fake another "injury" and go on another 4-month-long booze cruise....

But what do you know, it turned out to be a "very good day on the bike" ....

Hold on, what happened to the biggest Andy Schleck-apologist on this forum? ;)

Roulston took him down, not much he could have done about that I guess.

Did you actually read what it said in the report, or did you just skim it, saw crashed and Andy Schleck and went on here to make fun of him .

RNT has no immediate plans to replace Bruyneel. According to an article from rtl.lu, the team will find an internal solution for the former administrative tasks of the Belgian. The current Directeur Sportifs are still on board. In the future, Kim Andersen will primarily work again with Fränk (?) and Andy Schleck. Sponsors Radioshack and Nissan, who brought Bruyneel on board, will respect their contracts.

Yeah, great to have another beacon of clean cycling at the helm...

who do you expect then? just random joe from the street? kim andersen is more a d*uche and an obeyant idiot than a pro-doping director though.

I don't expect anything, but if you're going to replace Johan Bruyneel, at least take someone with a slightly less dodgy past. Although in the Shack team structure they may be hard to find.

Kim Andersen's seven doping offenses must be a record or something. We probably wouldn't have heard of the Schleck brothers if his lifetime hadn't been lifted.

Cyrille Guimard was one of the first to notice Andy Schleck.

So just to be clear on this: Kim Andersen tested positive either seven times, six times (if Cyclisme Dopage have the two Italian offences confused) or - if you're very, very, very generous - three times (you'd have to take a strict reading of only offences he was actually sanctioned for (ie 1985, a suspended sentence; 1986, an actual suspension; and 1992, another suspended sentence) and not count the multiple offences the Danish federation did a smoke and mirrors trick on).

If it hadn't been for a paperwork technicality, Andersen would have been banned for life according to the three-strikes-in-a-year-out-principle of the day. His own defense after the third '86-'87 bust at the Tour de Limousin is telling:

Since I tested positive twice, I take all my precautions. I'm not a jerk!
I'm not so sure about that, but in the words of Ryo Hazuki you're most definitely a d*uche!

This is quickly turning into a clinic-related discussion so I'll get my word in before this all gets moved ... IMO Andersen's however many positive tests just show that he was really, really stupid about it... and there was some controversy about some of them as has been pointed out, though I don't remember the exact story.

So anyways even though he was the first to be honoured with a lifetime ban, in my book he is still a big step up from Bruyneel and even from Riis ...

But I also agree that he does not seem fit for the general manager position, he should stick with DS'ing and leave the rest to someone else
