I like having Polish here though. It gives everyone an insight into the Lance fanboy mindset. It's like having the Cliff Notes version of a sh!tty book without actually reading it.

I honestly don't think Polish is truly a fanboy - I think he's a clever troll that continues to yank a lot of chains around here. I refuse to believe that anyone could truly be as stupid as he comes across. Of course this could simply be the idealist in me not wanting to admit the reality that in a species that evolved from Monkeys some of us never stray far from our inner Chimpanzee.

It is interesting that Polish's post count jumps whenever the latest version of BPC is banned.

That may be simply because when that other guy is here it is almost impossible to get a word in edgewise.

Just because the Giro has prestige does not give it the right to disrespect the riders. Or worse yet - put the riders into dangerous situations!

Lance and the Astana Team stood up for the riders last year. Lance and the RadioShack Team asked (in an advance letter) that conditions be improved this year too. So what does the Giro organization do? Ban RadioShack - nice.
Hopefully, other riders will rise up at the Giro this year...

BTW, the Giro should look to the Tour of California for a model of great organization and prestige.

That's how I read him,and if that's true it means he's been totally owing the rabid obsessors like RR, BD etc etc for quite some time. Which would be pretty f****king funny, and utterly deserved :D

Yeah.
Like on the stage, last year, where the live feed gave out, 500 metres from the finish and nobody had thought to place any static cameras............anywhere.

Truly great organisation.

most of the posters responding to polish/ripper and their sockpoppets appear knowledgeable and intelligent.

it is beyond me, WHY they can't see he is baiting them just one half of one notch above the level of bpc's stupidity.

ignore the stupidity, and he'll start posting responsibly b/c it's obvious a knowledgeable and long-time fan is behind the cheap baits.

Hey there python, why the f*ck is my name being thrown up there?

Dude, you need to get up to speed on the latest evolutionary theory
http://news.discovery.com/archaeology/ardi-human-ancestor.html

Myth Busted: Humans Never Evolved From Chimpanzees

Although chimpanzees remain our closest living primate relatives, there is now no evidence that Homo sapiens somehow evolved from chimpanzee-like individuals, losing chimp characteristics over time. Instead, after the chimp/hominid split, the two groups appear to have gone their separate evolutionary ways, developing the unique traits seen in each today.

Alan Walker, a professor of biological anthropology at Pennsylvania State University who did not work on the project, said that the Ardipithecus fossils "tell us that the anatomy of closely related living species cannot predict the anatomy of their ancestors very accurately."

Walker said, "It now seems, from the analyses carried out by the discoverers and their colleagues, that the last common ancestor of chimpanzees and humans was much less chimpanzee-like than previously thought."

So what is your story then?

I think that as bad as the Shack has been reported by the forum members here is my take. I thought of it a few weeks ago, planning ahead now.

Is there a chance that the DS es of the Shack could salvage their season by winning the Vuelta? Maybe rest up a couple of their contenders?

As I see it all the shack riders are trying to show that they can follow comfortably. Sounds like good practice.

Come on ,out of 25 team members the Shack couldn't field a leader in the 10 Vuelta. Besides Levi of course.

I don't see how Levi would be able to be in form for the Vuelta.

He's trying to peak for the Tour of California... which is in May. He's trying to have good form for the Tour... which is in July. And then somehow still have form in September for the Vuelta?

That's three peaks without a significant amount of down time between any of them. I'm sure he can complete the races... I'm just not sure anyone would be able to have good enough from for the Vuelta after that to actually compete for a podium.

It would be one thing if Levi were going to Cali to train rather then to win... but we all know he wants that race.

I don't think peaking for a one week stage race, such as California, takes anywhere near the amount of preparation that a Grand Tour does.
Nobody at the Shack endures anything approaching a heavy schedule.
Where there's a will, there's a way, but the red and grey machine aren't willing to compromise on July.

Levi'll be at the tour to support Lord Armstrong. Not to win but to support.
He will be at the Vuelta to win. That is the race he looks good in to me.

I think a lot depends on how Levi gets to ride the Tour. I suspect RS won't use the cluster approach of the 2007 Tour, 2008 Vuelta, and 2009 Tour. I suspect they'll use the old 'when your done your work, pull the plug' and recover for tomorrow approach.

If he's going for the GC at the Tour, I don't think he'll do, or do well at the Vuelta.
