AC had been attacking for what seemed like two or more stages straight. He just didn't have the stamina to get him over the top. That said, his style of racing made me an instant fan! :p

Don't get me wrong, I love AC's attacking style, that stage was what racing is all about to me, pure excitement that isn't over in a matter of seconds like a sprint.

To be fair, I think there should be one catch all topic for this very purpose.
Absolutely not. Lets have multiple threads on the same topic, just like the Lance hating/doping ones.

an average ITT, good positioning and some luck, and being in stongest team in the race are all that Armstrong has done so far.

Yeah, perhaps he is gloating a bit, but then again its the old story, dont dish it out if you can't take it. Some are more than happy to come on here and slag off Armstrong with stupid comments about what he will do or won't do. They just need to man up when it's thrown back at them.

When you get idiots making statements like "He will be gone on Friday" and if he is still up there on Saturday, they shouldn't start crying when those comments are thrown back. If people don't like getting flack for their stupid comments they should keep their mouths shut in the first place especially when speaking in the absolute regarding future events.

its ok.. i find him annoying too.. but thats mainly because of his insistence at starting a new thread every time he has a new wet dream about lance.. I think when over 10% of your posts are new topics, the dishing out is going a little far.. hes annoying..

thankfully though he doesnt care for my opinion either.. ;)

Sorry to interrupt the Love-hate posts. I do not want to pick sides but Lance seems to deserve some compliments from his performance today. Lance seemed to do doing most of the pulling today. Lots of turns at the front and long turns. My impression was that he was the strongest rider on Astana today and almost single handily willed Astana to a 1st place finish.

That's pretty absurd. You know its called a "Team Time Trial" for a reason. With all the time trial talent on that team to think that Armstrong "almost single handily (handidly) willed Astana to a 1st place finish" only feeds into the over the type rantings of some both sides of the Armstrong fence. It also insults the other teams that have equal talent versus the clock. Plus if Armstrong was such force of nature by himself, no doubt he would easily won the opening time trial. I'm sure he did his fair share of pulls on the front but I would think the coverage lingered longer when he was there than when others were taking their turns.

Thank you for the compliment and comparison. Bob Roll walks his talk, do you? He's a successful tv commentator who knows his stuff, are you? He has finished the tour a number of times, have you? What have you done in the cycling world "Anguliru" that could come close, equal or top Mr. Rolls integrity? And what you think of me is not my concern, it is your concern.

Even though you would like for me to "disappear," I ain't going anywhere, this is too much fun. You see, it's a win-win situation for me. I can't loose! I love the tour and all the cyclists and that is what sets you and I apart.

Go Lance. Go Alberto. Go Astana! Go Carlos! Go Fabian! Go Cadel! Go...

Bob Roll has over the years lost more and more credibility with his anti-French rants and his way over the top leg licking of Armstrong. His statements have become exceedingly pro-American and pretty much anti-anything else that may be out there in terms of competition. His knowledge and experience are without question, it's his of lack respect for the country whose event is likely more responsible for his prolonged broadcast career than he gives it credit for. He's become a cartoon character to be laughed at not to be taken seriously or respected. He can't have it both ways with his over the top rants and occasional insightful analysis. When he makes negative comments like:
"Contador has never worked for anyone other than himself" it just shows either that we've given him more credit than he deserves or that he has selective amnesia and missed out on Contador's most recent service to Leipheimer at Castilla y Leon, in Contador's home country, leading to a Leipheimer victory. Has he suffered from some form of short term memory loss that hasn't been reported? Or can we simply assume that he is so over the top biased that he shamelessly makes ludicrous statements without any concern if they are based in fact or not. He obviously has no regard for maintaining any credibility in the sport with statements like this. Your posting his comments as if they are to be taken as fact only go to show you support these myths and untruths that he regularly spouts.
