Did I read correctly that Mariners are only team never in a World Series?

Yup. And I've been following the team for 45 years of their 49-year existence. That's why there's quite a buzz around town this week. But as Mariners fans, we also are a bit fatalistic and know that things can still go terribly wrong

I don't follow Seattle specifically but because one of my all time favorite players, Ichiro Suzuki played there, I followed team passively. I love everything about Ichiro.

We do too. My daughter and I were thrilled to be at the game/ceremony to retire his number this summer.
