Did I read correctly that Mariners are only team never in a World Series?
Yup. And I've been following the team for 45 years of their 49-year existence. That's why there's quite a buzz around town this week. But as Mariners fans, we also are a bit fatalistic and know that things can still go terribly wrong ;)

I don't follow Seattle specifically but because one of my all time favorite players, Ichiro Suzuki played there, I followed team passively. I love everything about Ichiro.

We do too. My daughter and I were thrilled to be at the game/ceremony to retire his number this summer.

One thing that was cool was seeing people holding children at the game. It just might have been that I never paid attention before but my friend said.. Why would you bring a small child to the game and hold them in your arms for 9 innings, all the noise, ect..but it was strange.. Dad telling son or daughter... You were there..
Good game, 2 excellent teams someone had to lose.

I don't know if they'll win it all, but this Blue Jays team has been one of the most fun we've had to watch in decades.

18 inning marathon.. Both teams played great, emptied both benches.. They used every player and pitcher available.. Dodgers won the game using a pitcher named Klein who looked like he came right off of an Amish farm..

Except the ending!
I enjoyed the ending! And Yamamoto throwing over @220+ pitches in the series.. Amazing.. Him getting MVP was perfect in my opinion.
Clayton Kershaw, old man, Dodger great was able to play, get a championship ring before retiring..
Max Scherzer, old man, fighting, yelling at manager, wanted to play, wanted to win as bad as anyone. He came up a little short, but at 41 years old, many thought he would retire, instead he wants another year+ ..lots of awesome emotions and spirit of competition and sportsmanship, winning attitude.
** plus couple of ex Padres on the Dodgers**
