Porte should win tomorrow. Only question is can he gain enough time to soft pedal the last km to get him below 6.0?

Would it be considered a "normal" peak to win, based on his most recent performances? How long were "normal" peaks in the past, discounting legends of the sport like Hinault and Merckx?

Is anyone still in doubt whether Porte will win Pais Vasco? Looks like another 1-2 for sky.

Nah, Henao is too poor a time trialist. But Porte should have little trouble adding this to his palmares.

Stage 5 he will be vulnerable, Quintana and Henao could take serious time there.

They'll need to take a minute on Porte, he'll need to have a Froome like implosion for that to happen imo.

Not as long as Quintana has anything to say about it. ;)
At least that's my hope. He's one of the few that can match and beat the Skyborgs in the mountains.

Problem is that Sky have the three best time trialists of all GC-men of the peloton. Matching them in the mountains isn't going to help you much.

You can always have hope, but realistically he will need like 2 minutes on Porte in the ITT, and when Porte doesnt lose time on a climb like this, then its not looking good for anyone else.

Whats the big deal? A man who is good at Criterium after worlds best climber coming in sixth here?

More WOW at Henao, even Quintana had no answer to that.

Henao was widely tipped to perform on a finish like this with many saying he should be the designated leader over Porte here as his characteristics are more suit to the parcours of the race. Quintana is a huge talent no doubt, but it's not like Henao isn't a talent in his own right that is worthy of note.

Granted it was a great performance but still not one that came out of the blue that would of have been unexpected to us all.
