Apparently no one has watched the Vuelta, where Zubeldia was the most aggressive rider.

Zubeldia transcends any one man. Zubeldia is an idea, a concept.
When Haimar is long gone from this world, Zubeldia will live on. A man may die, but an idea you cannot kill!

He is un faro.

IMO this is the best WC road race for years

Bloody awesome indeed. Thank god the nations without a Degenkolb/Kristoff realise they can't wait until the final lap.

It usually ends in anti climax Matthews

Precisely what I've been thinking. If Matthews wins this I'm going to be quite angry.
The man has never made a move in his life, he's Gerrans v2.0

I spotted Nibali 2 minutes ago. He was at the front of the peloton. Unusually invisible, but still there.

Edit: Leading the peloton atm.

There's the hesitation in the group to be exploited, but it's too early.
I hope it doesn't come to that. I'd prefer a sprint finish to some opportunist riding off the front, exploiting the hesitation.

Yeah. He is even worse than Gerrans in terms of wheelsucking. I've never seen him taking a pull.

I doubt he has a chance. I just don't think he can drop everyone on such short climbs
