I think it's Jon Snow{******* of the north...}
Not Jon. Mikel Snow, Bаstard of the North it is.
(Surely it's ok to say "bаstard" in its literal, historical meaning?)

I don't think I've heard of Rafal Majka before the tour of poland this year. My brother instantly started referring to him as "Jenta frå verdensrommet", or "the Girl from Space".

Okay. I dunno if this is completely inappropriate (and if it is then would a Mod please edit it out?)
But I've been wondering if you could consider #108WW to have become a sort of 'post mortem, honourable nickname' for Wouter Weylandt?

Apparently Alex Rasmussen's new nickname is Bam-Bam... My guess is that he keeps riding into stuff! :p

I read it on the Bike Chatter page, and not actually being on Twitter I couldn't really ask so... silly guesses is the way to rock! :cool:

The father of liberalism.

Or alternatively, cos someone said JTL should be "the peoples champ", I vote- "The Locke".

Okay, this requires some explanation and might get totally lost in translation.

'Bak' means 'behind' (as in 'in the back') In Norwegian. The Norwegian commentators (who I think we all know by now are crazy) have decided that they can't really call Lars Bak that, so they've dubbed him Lars Ytting Front... :p:rolleyes:
