I don't think I've heard of Rafal Majka before the tour of poland this year. My brother instantly started referring to him as "Jenta frå verdensrommet", or "the Girl from Space".

Okay. I dunno if this is completely inappropriate (and if it is then would a Mod please edit it out?)
But I've been wondering if you could consider #108WW to have become a sort of 'post mortem, honourable nickname' for Wouter Weylandt?

Apparently Alex Rasmussen's new nickname is Bam-Bam... My guess is that he keeps riding into stuff! :p

I read it on the Bike Chatter page, and not actually being on Twitter I couldn't really ask so... silly guesses is the way to rock!

Bam-Bam is already the nickname of Argentinian sprinter Gerardo Fernandez (Palmar de Lago)

some other Argentinians:

Willy = Héctor Lucero (Agrupacion Virgen de Fatima)
el Bebe = Emanuel Agüero (Cicles Marzano)
el Escamoso = Pedro Gonzalez (Palmar de Lago)

Okay, this requires some explanation and might get totally lost in translation.

'Bak' means 'behind' (as in 'in the back') In Norwegian. The Norwegian commentators (who I think we all know by now are crazy) have decided that they can't really call Lars Bak that, so they've dubbed him Lars Ytting Front... :p:rolleyes:
