Sky's final Giro team: Landa, Intxausti, Sergio, Sebastian, Boswell, Konig, Lopez, Kiryienka, Knees, Viviani.

No Kennaugh, so he will most likely be on Froome's Tour team after all. And surprisingly no Puccio for Viviani. Knees will work as his main lead-out man.

Didn't Sebastian Henao said that he'll ride only Vuelta this year?
The team is incredibly strong for mountains. Not so sure for flat. Only Kiryienka and Knees are good rouleurs.

I hope Sergio Henao will win a stage.

Wait a minute. Isn't that 10 riders? One of them have to skip the Giro.

It's a preliminary list. I hope one of Henao's will be out to be fresh for Vuelta.

According to a Gazzetta journalist at Sky's media day Froome has confirmed he won't be riding either Tirreno or Paris-Nice. He will go from Herald Sun Tour and his next race will be Catalunya. So a quiet start to the season for him, which is what he said it would be back in November. Thomas and Kwiatkowski will lead Sky at Paris-Nice.

Interesting, I think he peaked the first two weeks at last years tour, ideally you would want to peak for the last two weeks.

between Herald Sun Tour and Catalunya he might ride Andalucia (his start is still not sure, with different news coming from Spain)

That's a pretty light build-up. He'll properly not even be a factor in Catalunya since he is just starting racing again after a long break. But I'd imagine that he will good for Romandie and very strong for Dauphine like last year.

Choice of Paris-Nice over T-A is weird. He would be top 3 favorite in the latter and has no chances really in Paris-Nice.
Other than that I love the schedule. Lack of Fleche is a good idea since his recovery doesn't seem good enough to handle three Ardennes classics (he can do well in 2 at most).

Sky have already 5 riders named for their Tour de France team. (Froome, Thomas, Poles, Kwait & Nieve) Throw Stannard & Rowe into themix then that is 7

Looks like places will be hard to come by this year

Maybe SKY were on this forum and thought they'd stop the speculation and get in early with the list

Wouldn't it be more logical to send Landa to Paris-Nice in that case!?

I don't think anyone targeting Giro would do PN or Tirreno in any serious shape.

Two from these five seems likely:

Benat, Konig, Kennaugh, Roche, Kiry

I'd say the Giro lieutenants will be in the Vuelta squad as well, so Atlantic forces for France.

What makes you say he has no chances at Paris-Nice? It looks a pretty good route for him. I like the fact that he's doing Flanders. If him and Thomas had chosen not to ride it then Sky wouldn't have offered a lot there (Stannard and Rowe are Roubaix riders).

That didn't really stop the speculation did it :(

While we're at it, I would like to speculate about Tinkoff's team for Criterium International. Do you guys think Manuele Boaro will ride again? I think Trofimov could do well. I guess they will take Bodnar for the ITT?

On official Cannondale team website they write that Mullen will ride cobbled races this year.

He is riding Paris Roubaix ...should be a shock to the system
He is a very strong fella and ideal rider for classics ...could be something he excels in in the future

I can see him getting some kind of result in De Panne or Three Days of West Flanders already this year.

Demare will ride the Giro d'Italia instead of the Tour de France. Doing so he will have the complete support of his team.
