Yeah, he's not really a climber and doesn't have much of a sprint so why not make a name as a super dom. Chugging beers on the MTFs isn't a bad way to make a name for yourself either.

"At this stage, Contador’s race programme is almost set in stone. He will start the year at the Ruta del Sol before defending his Tirreno-Adriatico crown in March. From there he will travel to the Volta a Catalunya.

“Then it’s the Giro d’Italia, perhaps a small race during my recovery period and then the Tour de France. That recovery time is going to be crucial, though, and we’ve not finalised that part yet,” he says."

Early season rendezvous with Froome then.

Maybe both of them will take it slowly and not go for the win. I don't really want them to battle before the TdF. I hope that Froome will choose a completely different calendar.

Paris-Nice, Pais Vasco, Romandie, Criterium International, Dauphiné or something like that for Froome.

Alberto should come to Algarve instead of Andaluzia. Historically it's a good start of the season for him.

Is Sagan's calendar out there btw?

http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/sagan-tinkoff-saxo-can-rule-the-classics

"Next season will once again be built around the Spring Classics and the cobbles of Belgian. At present, the Ardennes are off the table but another Tour ride is a certainty. The Classics are perhaps where Sagan will ultimately be judged."

So Strade Bianche, Milano-Sanremo, Scheldeprijs + the four cobbled classics? And good to see that Sagan and Contador will ride the Tour together. It's gonna be a real star team this year!

Edit: Sagan: I want to win a classic
"The goal is to win a classic. For me, the important ones are Sanremo, Flanders and Roubaix. We will discuss it with the team. I want to do the Tour and then we'll see."

Ok, his program is almost given.

Oh yeah, I doubt either them will want to play hard. But it will be curious to see their tactics in the early stages and if they do play hard we should be able to see the progression to top form through the season.

Both Contador and Froome won their february races last year, they will fight for a win in Ruta del Sol, that's for sure.

Froome wil likely race all the pre TdF events for the win.
Whether he can deliver, well we shall see.

Is Sergio Henao fully recovered after his injury?
Last time I read something about him he said that he hopes to ride again his bike in December or January.

Modolo focussing on San Remo, Belgian Classics and Giro instead of Tour. Second part of the season will include Hamburg, Plouay and Canadian races with WC in his mind.

Interesting. Where did you find that info? Now we only need Froome, I'm begging him not do to the same races as Contador. Paris-Nice, País Vasco and Romandie instead.

Great he already says he's going to race in Piemonte:p

If this is true, it's great he's riding again Tirreno. Purito belongs there. I even hoped him to do Strade and Pais Vasco, especially because he's not riding the Giro next season.
