Oh my ****ing god. My whole life is a lie. There's so little things in life you can count on day in day out and now one of those falls to pieces. I don't know what to believe anymore

This is a bigger anomaly than

-Robert Gesink finishing a GT
-Jose Juaquin Rojas winning something
-Amets Txurruka winning something
-Gerrans taking a pull
-Leipheimer attacking
-Andy Schleck keeping his mouth shut
-Nibali, Froome, and or Contador fans agreeing on something
-Ryu Hazuki posting something that actually makes sense

and last but not least

- Descender saying something positive about anything that is related to the Vuelta parcours

Wow
Very funny post, may I clap? ;)

Sol:
Froome, Porte, Nieve, Thomas, Lopez, Seb Henao, Kennaugh, Zandio

Oman:
Konig, Roche, Ser Henao, Deignan, Poels, Siutsou, Boswell, Pate

Roche & Porte are riding Rut de Sol with Froome.(& Tour de France) so I am guessing maybe Koneig will lead at Oman & the Giro ?

As for showdown at Rut de Sol between Froome & Contador....reports saying last week Froome 7 Kilos over and unable to keep up with Porte on the climbs...Could lose it by Feb 18th but there is a matter of Christmas..Also Contador looks a little over weight

I imagine we will see a slow start from these 2 ....It will be all for the GTs

Any links about it? But yeah, the Giro squad will properly be lead by König (with Poels as a "reserve captain"). And my guess that König and Poels also will lead the Ardennes classics together Henao, Nordhaug and Roche. They has a great "kick". A team with five strong co-leaders in the hilly classics is a huge change compared to last year.

Porte is too important for Froome this season to have his own chances. It's the march of the Big Four. With the exception of Down Under, they will do the same races. "Froome's team" will mostly focus on week races and the Tour. Guys like Nieve and Kiryienka are also part Froome's troop.

Cycling podcast & Froome himself went on about the weight
Cycligntips on Roche....but sorry don't have links

Know from his Dad that Roche wants to target one day races in 2015 so will be leading in Ardennes I imagine ...at least some of them

Richie Porte is supposed to be in top form already and flying...So after the TDU you would think he would make a good lead in the Giro but Froome wants him for the Tour I believe

All would depend if Porte already signed a deal with Orica for 2016, or if he intends to stay at Sky.

If he's not renewing with Sky, can't see many opportunities for him, obvs will be a few though.

Sky's likely Giro team?:

Konig, Poels, Deignan, Lopez, Wiggins, Puccio, Fenn, Sutton, Viviani

I suspect there likely aims for the Giro will be similar to 2012 as high up the GC as possible with Konig and stage wins for Wiggins and Viviani.

I agree with that line-up. I would replace Lopez (who will be saved for the Tour and/or the Vuelta) with Swifty. He could be a great lead-out for Viviani. Think about a Wiggins->Puccio->Fenn->Swift->Viviani train.

That would still get destroyed most likely by Greipel, let alone Cav or Kittel.

They might nab one or two stages, and remember Turkey? Viviani has a nose for wins every now and again.

And Viviani will probably be only one of those that will ride the whole Giro, so he could win the points classification, the other guy that will have that as his main goal should be Nizzolo.

And Modolo as well ;)

The trifecta of Italian sprinters.

Swift is great at getting boxed in. There's a reason why he only wins 20 men sprints and that's not his speed. Viviani is better off alone.

Arredondo:

No Ardennes for Fatancur?

Apparently, no. He didn't mentioned them. But, on top of that, you know Ardennes are the week before Romandie, and then Giro is right after... It would be hard to handle that.
And race days are already close to 75 (not including any build up race before Vuelta like Burgos, Poland or Ain)

As hinted by Trevim in the original post, Costa's most likely schedule wil be similar to the past few years.

Dubai Tour
Tour of Oman
Paris - Nice
Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco
Amstel Gold Race
La Flèche Wallone
Liège-Bastogne-Liège
Tour de Romandie
(Grand Prix ''Gippingen'' du canton d'Argovie)
Tour de Suisse
Portuguese National ITT Championships
Tour de France
Grand Prix Ouest France - Plouay
Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec
Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal
World Championships Road Race
Giro di Lombardia

Based on biased but well-known Colombian website:

Betancur:
San Luis,
Tirreno, Cataluña, País Vasco, Romandie y Giro.
Vuelta a España and World Championships

They should have him race Oman, i fear that otherwise he could spend too much time in Colombia between San Luis and Tirreno and we all know how that will end...
