I needed a new challenge => Trek's new signing aiming at Tour de France top five (this guy's logic is just awesome considering he has a career best of 6th in the Tour. It will be so exciting if he gets an invisible 5th place, I think I'll cheer for him this year!)
This is basically why people love Contador talking about doubles and crazy stuff like that; imagine we would only have Mollema kind of guysAnyway I hope he gets a GT stage win this year and some stage race somewhere.

Trek is at fault too by letting Schleck, Zubeldia and Mollema all focus on the TdF. It will be an invisibility contest but hey they might win the team GC!Zinoviev Letter said:Mollema is what you would get if you stripped Dan Martin of a little of his punch and all of his ambition. BAUKE: DO NOT BASE YOUR WHOLE SEASON AROUND A TOUR TOP 10!!!' The world has enough JVDB2s.
Also why Tirreno? Why? Why not try to win a marginally more prestigious race while all of the guys you can't beat are walloping each other in Italy?

Yes, almost all the big riders will do TA.This year Paris Nice is a good opportunity for young riders like wilco kelderman who can achieve a nice result.Zinoviev Letter said:Dan Martin' schedule not finalised but will include:
Ardennes (obviously)
Tour de France
Will probably include:
Catalunya
Tirreno Adriatico
He should really do Paris Nice with serious ambition, but no, it seems everyone wants to do TA.

I think it's because of T-A new routes that instead of favouring hilly riders suit GT riders with the HC climbs and real MTFs and a chance to practice the TTT as well as the ITT. Perfect race template for the GT riders to have as their spring goal.Zinoviev Letter said:Yes, I don't really understand it. Paris Nice is a slightly more prestigious race in theory, and the competition will be much easier. You'd think at least a few established big names would see the opportunity to go for a big win, but no, they all choose the probably better weather in Italy.
The positive side is that TA will have a field comparable to the Tour, while we will get a chance to see the outsiders and young prospects contest PN. But I really don't like the idea of PN becoming a glorified Tour de Pologne.

Valverde and cross winds. Should be really funny. Why is he racing those things? Money, too old to handle the European cold...?Wallenquist said:Valverde will ride not only in Qatar but also Oman and Dubai
