-John Degenkolb will struggle for wins in his sophomore year, having to lead out his former lead out man in most big races Skil get into.

Opposed to this:

- John Degenkolb will have a great season, better than 2011 with numerous wins, and not only in sprints. John won't be Kittel's lead-out man and he'll perform better than Marcel in 2012.

This is my prediction

I hope Romain Sicard can put in a good year; EE most definitely could use his help with points, especially since they lost Koldo. I also expect Haussler to have a better year, same with Kreuzinger.

I'm more inclined to think he'll be a great cobbled classics rider in 2-3 years

Lets put an old guy in the spotlights again.
Leif Hoste rode a whole year with a tear in his "meninges", but is now fully recovered.

Signed a contract with Accent Jobs (Veranda Willems), and seems motivated in Interviews I see with him.

Wont say he will win RvV this year, but I'm convinced he will be there at the front in "his" races.

The ones that didn't go onto my cq team, mostly

Rafael Valls showed too much in '10 to remain without a contract, I hope.

Michael Albasini: a strong all rounder who might benefit from new oportunities at GE, with few climbers on the team.

Takashi Miyazawa had some decent showings on Farnese Vini before moving to Riis' WT team.

Michael Morkov sprints and TTs well, one for the classics?

Filippo Pozzato: Farnese Vini might be the right place for him.

Angel Madrazo for hilly day races/stages.

Thibaut Pinot: I agree with this one, obv.

Jonathan Hivert... was impressive last year, although he may just be consistent at that level.

Daniele Colli returning to his previous level.

Kenny Van Hummel was making a case for the top 5 sprinters last year and we'll see more of him in bigger races next year.

I respectfully disagree with Moondance's prediction for Degenkolb. I can't remember if IT41 are World Tour or not, but I think they'll be able to split the calendar up in a mutually agreeable way to the two Germans. If anything I found JD the more impressive for immediately showing great endurance in races at the highest level in his neopro year, as well as being very very fast. He has potential for many races whichKittel won't figure in. I think he could be one of the most notable riders next year in fact.

Giovanni Visconti: you can't churn out all those results at pro conti level and then fizzle out in the WT. Particularly if Valverde doesn't come back to his best immediately, I think he'll be leading Movistar quite frequently. He's obviously ok with that pressure.

Wout Poels.

Jetse Bol.

Moreno Moser is one Italian younster who hasn't been mrntioned yet, but there seem to be a fair few climbing talents in that country.

Gregory Henderson should bounce back after a minor dip. He expressed annoyance about being overlooked on Sky, and he'll definitely have better opportunities on Lotto. He'll be the second fastest man on the team (possibly was at Sky too, but nvm.) and should therefore be the supported sprinter in many races. Also if he's leading out Greipel, the German has been known to go missing in the finale on the odd occasion and someone needs to step in.

Matthias Frank - strong climber who can step up to the next level and win some bigger races.

I'll say a few more later but I personally don't want to say too many because of not submitting my CQ team yet.

How can you not have him on your cq-team??

I do. Most of those were the ones on the shortlist I didn't select though.

Agree that he's an automatic pick for any CQ team.

Kittel to get a heap of wins
Daniel Oss to keep improving- looked very strong last year
Nico Roche to put last years injuries and bad luck behind him and top 10 at the tour
D. Martin to impress us all with awesome attacks on the climbs!
Hope Duarte keeps improving too

I woudl like to see what becomes of Daniele Bennati. Circa 2008 the best sprinter until the full emergence of Cav. Gets injured. Spends this early season as the king of 2nd and 3rd places with a few wins here and there. Finally wins a GT statge at the end of the Vuelta. Now Leopard merges with the team of the DS who he never had anything to do with sprinters. It seems to me that a once promising career will be coming to a quiet close.
