& of course, throw back time to that Giro stage win. He was due to win a lot more races. Alas...

Imo , completely unnecessary to have a descent at speeds of 100kph to end the stage . That brings extra risk with it .

I just don't know what to feel man. With Bjorg, I just stopped watching cycling for a bit. Will probably be the same now.

I think it’s worth reflecting about that there are several factors that can make a descent dangerous. Tricky corners is one. Extreme speed is another.

This downhill seems easy but it result in extreme speed and that can make corners not looking to tricky extremely dangerous as well.

True. It's the same in motor racing. Courses with only a few sharp bends are not safer than the more tricky ones.

Having said that, speeds of over 80 kph in cycling are a problem. Another problem is that risk taking in cycling is so often praised by the fans and the managers. Just think of Mohoric' Milano-Sanremo win - the reactions to his descent.
