Post-Ardennes Spanish short stage races are kind of bizarro world though.

I mean, in stage 1 of Asturias last year Amets Txurruka won. Now in stage 1 of Castilla y León Rojas wins. Hell, in this race last year (though it was earlier) Euskaltel won two consecutive sprint stages.

LOL at the competition. :p
Competition matters not: the theorem explicitly states that Rojas will ALWAYS finish 2nd or worse in a race, either against me, Cavendish or his grandmother.

Imagine Rojas vs. Colbrelli vs. Bennati. They would break the fabric of space and time and just be trapped permanently a millimetre before the line in unison, all prevented by the laws of cycling from being able to win.

Yh, I'll never forget that epic sprint in the Giro where he got a 700m leadout from Petacchi and didn't manage to get around him. Although that wasn't last year, more like 2007.

Colbrelli aside, there's a bunch of italian sprinters always there in the end but who almost never wins...Modolo, Appollonio, Nizzolo...

They'd all think they had won, celebrating to early and than Freire would win. He never trained anyways so he could join the race.

Besides that: I am really really happy for Rochas. But I am also worried that the universe will collapse very soon now.

Put them in a classic with Greg Van Avermaet.

There still wouldn't be a winner.

All these got few wins already.

Colbrelli is yet to get his 1st pro win - having 11 Top 5 finishes this year alone..
