Helping Alaphilippe when he crashed at LBL, Strade Bianche 2nd place and his part in stage 11 of the 2022 Tour. All worthy achievements amongst many others.

Such a random retirement plan, why not finish with lombardia in 2025 and do some races for fun after daphine without pressure or altitude camps.
Bardet is from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region so it is his home race. Maybe will have a special stage to honour him in 2025.

200 km, 5 hours and 35C a proper start to a GT. Going to be 30C in Bologna on Sunday, so it should knock down the crazy recent speeds a bit.

Tried to watch the full stage but the only compelling bit was the final few kilometers. Has cycling always been this boring to consume on TV? :disappointed:

See -an example of what I mentioned above but he wins no prizes as he said it too late . If he had posted that message last night he would now be top of the heap ..Best get your statements on boring racing in early

Curious what the context is here?

Bardet bridging across to the break was cool--very calculating. And obviously hanging on to win the stage and take the jersey was very pro...doggedly determined. But I would've found it much less boring to just watch the final 50km. The previous 150 were tedious for me the TV viewer.
