EBH did a recon of Paris Roubaix today. He looks very focused on Paris Roubaix rather than Ronde it seems.

Indeed, he said before the season that P-R was his main goal. Incredibly stupid given that it doesn't suit him very well and he has no experience there (he has started once). It's probably because P-R is the only monument that's widely recognized in Norway, whilst most people here have no idea what RVV or MSR is.

So apparently Eurosport is showing Flanders in one hour, then some ****ty car racing in one hour, then Flanders, then car racing and then the finish of Flanders.

Are you kidding me?!

Fortunately I can watch the race on Sporza. Although that means I'll have to listen to Michel Wuyts...

For once, though I love Sporza in every way, i want to watch a race in HD, on my flat screen with commentators I undestand.

They show Algarve, Qatar and Oman in like full.

But Flanders? No, lets give them FIA World Touring Cars in between...

Hey don't forget you can atleast win a Eurosport towel if you answer the prize questions right!

Even NBC Sports has more coverage of Flanders than Eurosport this year.

Unless Eurosport is pulling an early April Fool's joke on all of us

I usually watch races on Sporza. I don't understand the commentary though, I just pick up the names and the odd word or two. I said "Cafondeesh" in conversation the other day, accidentally.

Yeah that's pretty Flemish. :p It always bothers me a bit, how they pronounce the names. And Wuyts's voice just irritates the hell out of me. Geez.

It might be that Cancellara's weak team is not such a big disadvantage for Flanders, as the final consists of these loops. So Cance's teammates might be doing the Kwaremoont the second time when he passes third time and they could support him! ;-))) [joke] :D

And you realize his team did nothing there right?

He was the only one in the front group after Boonen attacked. Attacked on the Kwaremont, had a flat tire. After that he brought back the peloton to the front WITHOUT the help of his team mates. His team-mates didn't do anything to get him back. Quite sad really.

You mean the correct way as opposed to Dutch commentators?

At least Gallopin was close. Boonen had no one.

Gallopin never helped Cancellara. Boonen had no one because Chavanel had a mechanical right before the Taaienberg and Kwiatkowski/Trentin/Vandenbergh brought him back.

Funny how that is the only moment you seem to have remembered from the race.

Terpstra also had bike problems just before the Taaienberg.

After Boonen attacked on Taaienbeg it was Tom who left himself alone with no one from QST while Gallopin and Bennati bridged to this group and Gallopin went to attack before peloton brought them back.
When Cancellara had a flat tire at least Rast, Gallopin and Bennati helped him to come back.

 I'm not saying Dutch commentators are perfect. In fact, I hate Mart Smeets and Maarten Ducrot and Herbert Dijkstra too. I only like Boogerd. :p

Just saying, I've never heard Wuyts mispronounce names like Cavendish... They were picking out the most difficult names in the peloton today. Some guy of Astana, but I'm not even going to try and type it out.

Boogerd is probably the worst one, in terms of pronunciation ;)

No, they didn't. You're quite the revisionist mate.

Like I said, Chavanel had a mechanical and QS used some guys to bring him back. Which they succeeded in. Cancellara brought himself back with ZERO help from his teammates. Bennati has done no work for Cancellara last weekend... Didn't even gave him a new wheel when he needed it.

Gallopin did an attack yeah, and how did that help Cancellara exactly? He was brought back by Quick Step, quite easily actually. Gallopin was the only decent guy they had outside Cancellara.
