Surely these three riders have to attack Kopecky and make her chase. You can't bring her to the line.
2 of the riders are getting out of the saddle just to keep Lotte's wheel on her regular pull, they are going to get destroyed in a drag race ..wait until 2 k to go and let Kopecky go from the front and hope she flames out or comes unclipped from the pedal!!

Is there more SRAM in the women’s peloton than the men’s? Just noticed that all the lead 4 seem to be on SRAM, no shimano.
Incidentally, if someone from SRAM marketing ISNT cropping one of these head-on shots of the lead group, zoomed in on the shifters, what are they even doing?

Yeah, that played out as expected. I think there was a chance to counter after Kasia was brought back, but no one dared.

I suppose there’s a nice symmetry about both rainbows winning today. But why the other three worked with Kopecky is beyond me.

They didn’t have the legs to try something. Or to go after Kasia was brought back.

There you have it. Kasia 4.
What else could she do? She tried on the Paterberg, and gave it her shot in the final km.

I said in in the men’s thread, and it’s true here too. The Ronde finishing straight is the most boring of any classic. Even Paris-Tours makes a long straightaway more interesting.

She could try not to ride or attack from far out. Let Kopecky chase every other attack and try again.
She did a good surprise attack in the end but was definitely not strong enough.

Hard to win if the fastest is also the strongest.

An awful final which has the theme of the women's peleton in 2025. The other three had to ride as a team and make Kopecky cover every attack.

If she had been better positioned she could also have attacked on Kwaremont instead of having to close a gap. Not that I really believe she could have won anyway.

Not just 4th, but 4th with a time gap

Puck in the top 10. Anna Henderson 12th 😲 Where did she spring from ?

4 Brits in the top 25, that's pretty good performance

What's funny is that even with no teammates, Kopecky will some some suckers to work for her and close gaps. But still a nice win for Lotte. Shame about Elisa crashing out though, it would make for a more aggressive race if she was here.
