Poor Pollit, Paterberg killed him.

The move looked dumb at the start. But he never would have been in that situation without it. he still has the chance for a top 15. The "peleton" behind is probably completely cooked. Of course he will losse contact over the koppenberg therefore the move didn't worked out perfect because of the too early UAE acceleration (from his pov)

Got lucky that Van Aert and Van der Poel were out of position, otherwise he loses the wheel of both. He is still the best of the rest today... of those in the peloton. His claim that the only way to beat the big 3 was to try and follow them looks so foolish now.
