I know what you meant and its a funny and clever way of saying it. The thing is you attributed the information to purito. You have a source?

Though i would live to see how ryo responds to your accusation :D

Oh and out of interest are you anti cops too or just health inspectors

i'm against anything that ruins the magnificent show of life lol

purito said it in one of the eurosport interviews during the stage to rocca di cambio or lago laceno i can't remember which one.

unfortunately all looks set for rujano to have a terrible weak team in the mountains.at least ochoa and jackson rodriguez will be there but not for long...

that's how a super climber looks like:

He said rujano was hiding from the cops?

he actually has increidble power in his legs. 8 watt per kg weight he recorded and in the tour 2006 prologue for 10 minutes 12 watt per kg weight. quite insane. however he is not explosive and that is his greatest achillesheel in this. basso has the same although far worse explosive but at least he's got an entire team around him that rujano does not have.

Out of interest, how much money did you waste betting on rujano to win that tour ?

Were there any official explanations of Rujano's perfomance after that Tour? I remember a transitional panoramic stage via Soudet and Marie-Blanque. Rujano was dropped then earlier than Zabel.

Really, I thought Sella and Rubiano were looking quite strong as well. I think the only ones with a better team are Basso and maybe Scarponi. Oh, and Kreuziger. But who really believes he will be a threat?

Well he can explode in Cervinia like he did on Etna and Grossglockner, I'm still waiting for Saturday

What do you mean by 8 watt per kg? And what do you mean 12 watt per kg for minutes? This is 576 w for 10 minutes. It is impossible, I am sure that even Hushovd who won that prolgue did not do 576 watts.

I read here

http://forum.fok.nl/topic/881777

but could be wrong. his 8 watt kg weight is not bs though. also yesterday in rai they asked androni's docter about rujano heartbeat. he has a range of 28-195 bpm. that is completely insane and shows how deep he can go.

I didn't bet on him winning the tour. onky for podium and stage win. I'd say around 30 euro. I was a small time better back then

he had a swollen foot. an infection and he had to retire. he did very well the first week until he got injured.

half his teammates are sick or injured. but it should be improving. only riders not injured and or sick are the venezuelans and felline

Wow, 28 bpm? I think that's even less than Indurain. Isn't that range actually dangerous?

he gets that rate in topform. right now they said he has 34 and should be 28 by final week. he is around 90% in shape right now. peaking all to the final week as I said. rujano and the team have calculated everything in, to an insane amount knowing how extreme his body is and there's no one that can peak like rujano imo. last year despite being on anti biotics he hammered the finestre. I still can't believe how strong that was but also mentally. he can go deep and suffer like no one. a good example of trentino passo pordoi. he dropped long way from finish but still finished 20 seconds down on atapuma. pure training for him

Thats just wrong. All calculations in that thread, not just Rujano, are totally wrong. And 8 watt kg is alos irrelevenat without time. Every rider can do 8 watt kg. Question is how long can you hold it? (Cavendish and Greipel can do for instance 20-25 watt kg for few seconds.)

So if Rujano has such a power and is in such superb form, why is he losing even on the hills than? That doesn't make a sense.

8 watt pr kg was an hour test I think. they did in quickstep. I think boonen held the overall record in that team of 550 watt or something and rujano had almost 400, but with being only 48 kg. I remember reading about it back in 2006. they were quite amazed in the team

and about those calculations being wrong. it still shows how much more power he had than kloden, satsre etc per kg weight. not just a level above. but multiple levels above the rest

it's been explained about 20x in this thread alone

8 watts per kilo for an hour would mean our rujanito would put just around ten minutes on the second arrived rider on cervinia.sounds like fun but also impossible
6 w/kg for an hour is enough to destroy all the contenders of this year's giro.all of them barring pozzovivo.
