Ben Oliver podium too, they have scouted well.
I think he's quite a good MTBer because I remember him from the commie games but in all honesty I could be thinking of Sam Gaze.I thought he might be a surfer or something who was thrown ashore on a Spanish beach and ended up in bike race by accident, but apparently he's a not so great MTBer.
The 2nd greatest....

Think at the same time Modern Adventures should have sent De bod to this race, instead of UAE.Who tf is Ben Oliver
Just one year to be fair. He finished 2024 off by winning Paris-Tours, so he only had issues in '25.I'm very happy to see laporte do the job today. Not a visma fan in particular, but the dude has been troubled for years.
Happy for him. Great win.
even if he eventually got in decent shape for the tour and got an olympic medal, he was also troubled in 24. had he finished one place better in paris tours last year, hed still have had a terrible, unlucky yearJust one year to be fair. But that aside, great to see him back at a very good level. Hopefully, Visma can play a big role in the classics.
Yeah, you're right, I was specifically thinking of his disease which was only an issue last year and had forgotten what befell him the year before. But now that you mention it, I do remember him being someone I considered for last year's CQ game which usually would mean that the previous season was not plain sailing.even if he eventually got in decent shape for the tour and got an olympic medal, he was also troubled in 24. had he finished one place better in paris tours last year, hed still have had a terrible, unlucky year
