To be fair Sky played it tactically perfect, Landa was always going to struggle in a sprint be it 2 up or 3 up in that group, whereas Kwiat was the likely winner of the 5 man bunch sprint.

Great to see Kwiatkowski winning. Landa's showing he's a team player after all.

How about Kwiatkowski for the Worlds? It's not beyond him if I remember the route right. I haven't looked for a few months though.

It's his main goal for the remainder of the season.

Two monuments and future monument (Strade Biance) for Kwiat this year.

Lmao, Clasica San Sebastian is not a Monument. It's somewhere on the bottom of the ranking list.

It's harder than it looks, but there's a long way from the top of the climb to the finish. If it ends in a sprint, I think it'll be between Sagan, Bling, GvA & Kiwi.

Kiwi on his way to become cyclist of the year? Now Bala is out for the remainder of the season, i think it's between him, GvA and Froome (if he wins La Vuelta) now.

How is Greg above Kwiatkowski in the UCI ranking? He has only won Paris Roubaix. Do all those small Belgian races count as monuments or what?
Grey had a great classic season. On the podium many times.

E3 Harelbeke and Omloop het Nieuwsblad are certainly more prestigious than Strade Bianche and Clasica San Sebastian, no matter what some people on this forum think.

And he was also second in the Strade Bianche, second in the Ronde van Vlaanderen and 8th in this race.

Pretty damn obvious why he's ahead of Kwiatkowski.

Wow -- what a fanatic finish, the whole final 40 km was tactical. Sky rode a superb race for the win, and nice late attack by Cannondale to salvage 6th after Uran couldn't hold pace on the brutal, 17% final climb. Of course yet another Sky win is hardly what many want to see but they rode the best and that's what happens when you ride the best.

I was in San Sebastian last summer at the end of a bike tour and wish I'd known about that climb at the time.

Worlds will be a sprint between riders like EBH, Matthews and Sagan.
Lets hope not, I want a real good WC for a change.
Dumoulin said he wanted to also perform at the road race, is the parcours selective enough for him to do well?
