Utterly stupid for using EPO:mad:. Stupidity in the peloton has not ended with Ricco:rolleyes:.

They obviously use EPO with some advanced modern masking agents. No fool would use a pure EPO now. But technology gives failures sometimes..

WHAT?!?!!?!

No wait, that's not surprising at all.

Once again this proves that when a guy goes from zero to hero at 29 years old, there's something fishy going on.

In Wiggins defence he was 28...Oh never mind he was 29 :D

Does this tell us something?

I can't believe that he's been clean throughout his career. By doping now is he actually doing something that (many) of the others aren't and we see a jump in performance as a result?

Not sure I buy the hypothesis that he was scared off by Di Luca's positive and didnt top up when the rest did. If that were the case he would have remained as uncompetitive as previously. We saw a improvement that suggests that he was doing something that is now relatively out of the ordinary.

Remember when we where discussing if Di Luca was a ****ty teammate by outsprinting Santa for 8 bonus seconds? All seems rather moot now.

The real mark of a good teammate is whether or not he'll share his EPO.

You can bet your house on it. The problem is how you prove it. There are some of those still riding around Europe.

I am surprised that they didn't catch him sooner. Say Tirreno or Trentino. And what about the other tests in the Giro?

And when I pointed out the obvious some days ago my post got deleted by Trollmod Netserk...

1: I didn't delete that post

2: You have complained about the same thing in the mod thread, where I already told you that the last post I deleted of yours was one where you mentioned CERA in the PRR-section.

3: You responded to that post, so you have read it.

Why do you keep complaining about something (that you know) I didn't do?

Did they do this to Santambroggio because ViniFantini brought Di Luca to the tour and he again brought shame to the race (not that anyone except the blindest believes these guys are clean)?

The good news is that eight clean guys finished ahead of him in the Giro. Chalk that up to marginal gains.
Gregga said:
His suspicion index was already 6 in 2010.
And as you said he was a mediocre rider...
That can explain how much sauce he used to become a top climber, too much for the EPO test..

2+2 is not always 4

Luckily, dopers like DiLuca and Santambrogio were soundly beaten by many clean riders.

Yes it shows that the new era of clean cycling you can beat dopers.

I wasn't trolling but its bit like when lots of LAs contemporaries started getting popped why would riders need to dope to keep up with clean riders, doesn't make sense? Especially if the peloton is so human now.

To make up for the difference in talent.
Is it that hard to understand?
If everyone had the same maximum physical capabilities we would've had mass sprints in the mountain. There has to be difference.

Less talented riders who want glory try to make up for the lack of talent by using dope... it's not exactly hard to understand

Yes but dope makes usually makes a bigger % difference than natural talent does at that level.

Good, clean riders beating less good dope cheats. This is something to be pleased about....especially when the cheats are found out.

Given the way Di Luca and Chubby Cheeks rode over the last few months, is there any other rider whose performances rang bells in a similar vein? I know there's one that springs to my mind. I hope I'm wrong.

The fact that he was positive on stage 1(perhaps 2,3, etc.), gives me the idea that the glow time has been extended of late.

Also the fact that he came in at number 31, gives me a hunch he is either very unlucky with the lottery or that someone had been alerted by his "impressive" performances this spring.

Different testing frecuency or schedules. You would be surprised of how much riders get away with doping in smaller races. Tour of California could be an example. Just saying.
