Fabbro is good on punchy climbs and hilly terrain, but hectic flat stages and sterrato sounds like a desaster for him. I guess they wanted to send another potential gc guy there to take some attention/pressure away from Cian.

I read that Bora opted to let him train a bit more before making his season debut because of his long inactivity. I suppose we'll see him at UAE Tour. With Laas, Van Poppel and Meeus Bora got plenty of options for a 2.1 race.
