Oh wow, that was bad. I really don't understand why they felt the need to ride outside of the marked width of the path, with all the cones/poles and small rocks in their way on the sides. Absolutely irresponsible either by the organizer for not highlighting the road furniture danger in already the most dangerous sector of the route, or by the teams for not noticing this during any recon...

Absolutely shambolic for the organiser to leave all that road furniture unmarked and unprotected, this is the kind of *** that should put a race on some sort of three-strikes-and-you-lose-your-UCI-license list if the UCI a) focused on the things about race design that are both dangerous and preventable and b) actually cared. This race in general has been a disasterclass in so many ways, probably the worst I've ever seen by ASO.

True, but Buitrago rode smartly, getting a gap and then hiding in Bagioli's wheel. Plus, maybe Bagioli was still smarting a bit due to yesterday's crash.

True that. Strong ride by the guy however it was clear both Bagioli and the first attacker (didn't get his name) didn't know the quality of Buitrago. They both dragged him along during the final K and he didn't have to do any of the work.

Never the less strong and smart ride by a 22 year old.
