does anyone know when was the last time this thing wasn't won in a bunch sprint?

2005, Thorwald Veneberg and Tomas Vaitkus finished 4,39 minutes in front of the third rider after a 140 kilometres break away.

One year later it wasn't a bunch sprint either.

The race was still held the wednesday after Roubaix and it was an opportunity for revenge for quick step cause their hole team but Boonen missed the decisive split in Wallers and Boonen was alone for the final 100 kms to Roubaix.

So Quick step blew up the Scheldeprijs early on in the wind and formed an elite group of about 20 riders with their whole team part of it. They easily controlled that group untill Schoten where Boonen easily won the sprint. Don't think anyone from the peloton even finished.
