Kristoff would be a fool to not try for the win when Kittel, Cav and Greipel aren't here.

I disagree

PR is more important than this race and Kristoff knows he can win PR.

I doubt Kristoff will contest the sprint. This race will just be to keep the legs ticking over ahead of Sunday.

Viviani will take this.

Last year, there were no crashes IIRC.
Safest race of the year!
Yea, but País Vasco has upped the pointless danger quotient, so this disgusting travesty of a race will have to bring its A-game to compete.

Seriously, of all the races that get endangered, why does this pathetic excuse for an event not die? Why don't they just hold a 200m time trial and be done with it without all the risk of crashing?

This is like cycling, but not as good.

Seriously, what's wrong with you? Your hate for this race is just pathetic...

Guardini here interested see can he translate his form outside of Europe here. Van Poppel also interesting for me.

As regards the race its a sprinters race it fits nicely in between two classics, no point having another race that needs riders from those races instead it brings the sprinters and makes for good miles for those looking for racing in between

In 2013 Kristoff was 5th in Scheldeprijs & 9th in Parijs-Roubaix. He also had a good Ronde van Vlaanderen and De Panne. So I think there's a chance he's going to sprint today.

Anyway, wouldn't it be nice not to have a bunch sprint for once? :D Come on De Gendt do something crazy :D

Viviani vs Kristoff. It will be very close, especially if Viviani isn't at 20th wheel before the sprint like at De Panne. At Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne It finished Cav then Kristoff the Viviani, all pretty close, so if Kristoff does contest the sprint it won't be easy for him.

If Kristoff is not going to contest the sprint, why be here at all? In that case he only risks a crash for and might as well just go for training and not ride another race.

Frederik Backaert (WGG)

If Kristoff and Sagan are there at the finish they'll sprint I would think. One sprint isn't going to burn them out for Sunday and if it does then they weren't going to cope with l'enfer du Nord anyway!

No one has ever won RvV, Schelderprijs and PR in the same year though, so guess if Kristoff wins this he might as well not bother to start on Sunday..
